Welcome to the Curriculum Page
At Rosetta we use the International Primary Curriculum (IPC). The children have been covering interesting and exciting themes such as "Chocolate", "Treasure" and "Our Place in Space".
The IPC links history, geography, science, art, music and design technology all under themes.
For example, children who are working on the theme of 'Chocolate' will not only be sampling and making it, but learning about the geography of where cocoa beans are grown, the history of chocolate in the world including the trade routes and how that affected society, they will be designing packaging for their own product, and using persuasive langauge to sell their product during literacy.
By linking all learning under themes, Rosetta children are better able to contextualise their learning, and it is more enjoyable for them also. The IPC is about preparing our children for the future, teaching them thinking skills and how to learn and access information.
